    Greetings Grizzly  Swim Families,
     
    WELCOME back to our returning  swimmers and big welcome to our new  swimmers & parents. Wanted to touch base with lots of info and  call for help before the season officially begins. ( If you are not returning, and need to be removed from this mailing list, please let us know.)
     
    This week's email includes information regarding:

    Snack Bar Help Needed THIS Friday and next during the  Cal  High Men's basketball game between 3:30pm - 9:30pm. As a  swim team fundraiser, and with 2 games under our belt, we've already raised over $900. Thank you to those who have volunteered so far. Let me know if you can help with set up, sales, and/or break-down. 
     
    Home Meet Director Needed to organize the volunteers for set-up/break down for Time Trials and our 2 home meets (dates below). Training & support will be provided.
     
    Team Parent Shadow/Assistant Needed: Kathie, Cherie, and I have seniors and will need parents to take over our roles. Shadow us and help out to make it a smooth transition for next year.
     
    Auction Item(s) Needed for  California Athletic Booster's  Poker Night Fundraiser occurring Sat. 3/8. They would love an experience (ie. time share rental, tickets to a sporting event/adventure, etc.) and would be grateful for other silent auction items like giftcards for restaurants, stores, etc. Click  HERE to donate an auction item in which proceeds will go to our team.
     
    Parent Meeting:
    Mark your calendar for Tuesday, Feb. 25, for our parent meeting. This will be a crucial meeting with info regarding formally enrolling on the team, important dates, rules & expectations, and details regarding the social events of the season.
     
    At this meeting, we will also ask for a participation donation of $250 per  swimmer. This donation is voluntary but extremely important to running our team. The district only covers the head coach's salary, and this parent fund is responsible for paying our experienced assistant coaching staff. We will go into more detail about how these funds support our  swimmers, but please bring your checkbook.
     
    Club Swimmers & Multi-Sport Athletes:
    If you are a club  swimmer (USA  Swimming) or playing another sport during  swim season,  PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM.  High School  Swim is unique in that club  swimmers usually continue to practice with their club teams, but with the  high school team during meets. Communication is VITAL if you are a club  swimmer or playing another sport. Your club coach and the  Cal  High coaching staff should be aware of your meet schedule. Please make sure you have filled out this  TEAM or CLUB AFFILIATE FORM  before tryouts. 
     
    Transfer Athletes:
    If you have transferred to  Cal  High (you have gone to another  high school before  Cal), please ensure the VP/Athletic Director knows this before tryouts. Chad Ross:  [email protected]
     

    Policy Form:

    All swimmers will need to sign this POLICY FORM before the season begins. This form outlines the expectations for being a part of the team. If you have any questions about this form, please let coach know.
